1，General principles 

The composing contest of China-ASEAN Music Week design to find and train the young talents of composing, promote and boom china music creation, and future strengthen international music culture exchange.

2016 5th China-ASEAN Music Week composing contest base on the China-ASEAN Music Week as platform, rely on the geographical advantage of Nanning Guangxi province, use the opportunities that given by annual China-ASEAN EXPO and International folksong Festival and by virtue of the commerce and trade dealings between Guangxi and ASEAN countries to strengthen cultural communication of countries all over the world. The music week set national character, exploratory character and technicality as primary target, establish and strengthen the communication between domestic and abroad Arts of music academies and music groups, combine the national music material and creation technique and idea of modern music together, Inherit splendid traditional music of countries. We devote to spread and popularize the outstanding young musicians and music piece, establish and tamp a serious music article Silk Road on the sea.

4, Repertoires Requirements

1, The music work must be solo piano works and can’t exceed 8 minutes.

2, Each participant can present only 2 works which are created in or after 2013, the works that already won awards can not participate.

3, The music work must be the original works of competitor; we don’t accept the recomposed one.

4, Each participant must be present five paper music scores and one electronic music score at the same time. (Competitors’ name and personal information can not be write in the paper music score except the title of works)

5, The works needs to have sense of the times and national style, artistry, variety of technology style and audibility at the same time.

6, We encourage the works can highlight the cultural characteristics of China-ASEAN Music, and use folk songs of China and the other ASEAN countries as fodder.

5，How to apply

1, The contest is open to all participants without limit to age and nationality.

2, The contest can be applied as personal, academic group or musical group.

3, Need to present application form.

4, Application form must clarify the brief introduction of music piece and the author.

5, Participant needs to hand one copy of your ID card or passport.

6, The participants need to send all electronic edition of information that needed to our email address.

7, The participants need to post paper music score, application form and copy of ID card or passport to this address:

8, The participants need to post the mail and send email from March 1st 2016 to March 25th 2016. (Mail is based on the time of postmark of sending place)

6，Awards & Prize (RMB)

The first Prize: one winner，10000RMB

The second Prize: two winners, 5000RMB for each winner

The third Prize: five winners, 2000RMB for each winner

Honorable mention Prize: 10 winners

Judging committee will award certificate to winners.

NOTE: 1, each award member can be adapted or vacancy by Judge Committee.

2, the awards above are pre-tax prize.

 

7，2016 fifth China-ASEAN Music Week will hold the Concert of this year’s award-winning works.

8，Appendices

1, the entry and award-winning works need to perform free for the Awards Concert. The publishing, performance and related matters of the entry, award-winning works and outstanding works will be separately signed the relevant agreements by the organization committee and composer according to the copyright law.

2, the participants’ behavior that presenting music works to 2015 fifth China-ASEAN Music Week contest organization committee means agree and accept all the rules of this constitution.

3, this regulation has two editions; the Chinese version is the final text of legal basis. 

4, the final explanation right of this constitution belongs to the organizers.
